![]() I was looking through these comments to look for an explanation to the story and I feel the same way as this guy ^^ ![]() But the ending doesn't give much without knowing whats going on. I think Fran is a phycotic killer but instead of seeing the things she does as bloody and gruesom, she see's them in a colorful fluffy way. And when Fran jumps on Aunt Grace, you can hear a demon's laugh at the background. ![]() She tied him up, and when you use the red thing on him, you can see Fran's thoughts with an evil laugh. For all I know, at the end of Chapter 4 Fran herself knocked the Doc out with the shovel. Originally posted by Aeternull:There's so much of the ending that I did not understand. The more i analyzed the story the more i realized that while the story seems to be liniar and only have one path there are infact multiple endings, but that doesnt become clear until you play it a couple of times +1 Originally posted by anonymous:To be honest i hated the ending the first time i played, but it made me want to play it again but realy pay atention to details and i took notes the second time i played it and then i liked the ending a lot more because it seemed to make more sence and then i played it a 3rd and a 4th and not i realy like the ending as it stays with you.when it first happenes it is like wtf thats the ending it just stopps, but that kind of ending stays with you and makes you realy process what you just played and look at all of the symbolism and realy analyze the story and not that i have gone through the story a couple of times i find it to be absolutly genious because it leaves a definit ending, but if the author wants to a sequal can be developed at a later date without the story needing one. The last few moments were simply lackluster in my opinion.īut those are just my thoughts. I want to make it clear that I think the game as a whole has fantastic writing. This was a central throughline of the game's plot, so why is it brushed aside so quickly? Just let us know how she is willing to handle the darkness for the rest of her life if she has to. She didn't have to neccessarily defeat him. And the psychiatrist getting possessed and having to have his memory erased seems more like a sloppy last minute way to tie things up than it did a moment of real thematic significance.īut most importantly, I think there needed to be some sense of closure with the dynamic between Remor and Fran. The nurse is supposedly killed without any real dramatic weight to her death. Oswald needed to play a larger role earlier on for his involvement to have any impact. Character are haphazardly brought in and removed from the story. Things also felt a little rushed at the end. But then it makes the odd decision to go for a lighter, more comdeic tone with the penultimate puzzle in the wating room. The madhouse's extremely surreal style had a real sense of finality to it. Fran Bow is one of the best adventure games I've ever played, but the ending left me dissapointed.
